Awwww! [Jester squeals as she takes the box from Fjord, tail wagging excitedly as she goes to perch on the edge of her bed.] Baby, that's so sweet! The wrapping is so pretty...

[She says, as she tears into it like a wild beast. When she lifts the lid, her eyes light up. The shoes nestled inside are:

✔️ glittery
✔️ rainbow
✔️ winged
✔️ on wheels???

She loves them.]

Ohmygosh! You can wear these and...and roll around? Ahhh! Fjord! I love them!

[Oh no that tail wagging is so cute. Fjord is just gonna sit down beside her for the moment while she tears into her present with the sort of enthusiasm that really is unsurprising.

And he can't help but beam in utter delight at her response to the skates, face flushing anew.]

Yup. Lady I bought em from said you can go pretty quick once you're practiced, and there's apparently tricks you can do?

This is amazing! I'm going to learn to do a backflip!

[Jester carefully sets the box aside, only so she can throw her arms around Fjord with an excited squeal.]

Thank you so much! I love them. [And you, she wants to add, but holds herself back. She knows Fjord isn't quite there yet, and she's happy to give him all the time he needs, but she loves him so much she could burst with wanting to tell him.]

[In his way he tells her. Not with words- saying them makes them something that can be rejected, and for all he knows she loves him, there's still that part of him that chokes on actually saying it aloud.

Whatever the case, the gift says it as closely as he can bring himself to now, and he laughs, arms slinging around her in kind.] You'll do the best backflip, hands down.

[Jester plants a big, slightly-wet kiss on Fjord's cheek as she pulls back, still staying in the circle of his arms as she pulls one skate out of the box to inspect it. She spins the wheels with her hands, delighting at how smoothly they spin.]

They have wings! [she laughs, already tugging at the laces to loosen them.] I'm going to go so fast.

So fast you'll about be flyin' [Fjord kept his grasp on her, though light enough at the moment for her to go about trying on her new skates. As always her cheer was infectious, leaving the half-orc grinning as he watched.]

Apparently there's wheels that light up too- they didn't have any in stock but the woman showed me how you switch 'em out. [Helpful for when they wore down, and for Jester to be able to 'accessorize' to her heart's content both.]

[Jester gasps in delight as she fits one foot into a skate, trying to imagine what light-up wheels would look like.]

Ooh, we have to get those! Please? Here, oof—help me tie this!

[She hefts one skate-clad leg over Fjord's lap, wiggling her foot. It's super heavy, which feels strange, but also kind of cool!]

Absolutely.

[It's probably a good thing Jester doesn't realize just how willing Fjord is to cater to her whims at the moment. Whatever the case, he chuckles as she plunks her foot over his lap, giving her calf an affectionate squeeze before he turns his attention to the laces, cinching them up before tying them off in a neat bow.]

[Her foot is quickly joined by the other in his lap, and Jester leans back a little to enjoy being doted on by her cute boyfriend.]

You're so good at this! Probably from all of your time tying knots on boats, right?

[She's a menace but she's cute. Not that he minds her being trouble, oddly enough. From others it made him uneasy, knowing the problems that could arise but there was something about Jester that made it a bit less harrowing to just... enjoy her brand of chaos more. Especially right now, chuckling as he did up the second skate with practiced fingers.]

Got it in one. Could probably tie most of the knots in my sleep still.

Oh, yeah?

[Jester can't help the menacing grin that creeps across her face, her tail flicking playfully.]

I'll have to put that to the test, then. Hup!

[Her feet hit the floor, and Jester shakily pushes herself up into a standing position. Her tail whips wildly as she struggles to balance and take a couple of steps forward.]

Woah-h! [Her arms cartwheel as her knees buckle a little, and before she knows it she's falling hard on her ass, cushioned by the rug in her room.] Oops. It's harder than I thought to stand on these!

[Fjord didn't have time to inquire about her plans- only about enough time for brows to lift before Jester was hoisting herself to stand.

Only to end up right on her ass before he even has a chance to stand up, a startled chuckle slipping from him as he pushed to his feet, reaching down to catch her by the hands to help her back up.]

Here- hang onto me while you're sortin' out balance, hm?

[She giggles as Fjord immediately gets up to help her back to her feet, her cheeks flushed.]

Thank you. I guess I should have put these on after we went downstairs, maybe...

Well, I can always give you a lift. [Please let him, he wants to be the Stronk Boyfriend.

Even if he knows she could absolutely bench him if she wanted.]

[Jester gasps, clinging excitedly to Fjord's chest.]

You'd carry me? Really?!

[Has she died and gone to heaven???]

Absolutely.

[Fjord grins, pressing a kiss to her forehead.]

Princess carry or piggyback, ladies choice.

[Her cheeks are burning, and she knows it.]

Hmm...Princess! Here—!

[She opens her arms to brace them around Fjord's shoulders in preparation, more than ready to be carried by her hunky half-orc boyfriend.]

[She might be blushing, but Fjord thinks it's entirely cute.]

One princess carry for the Princess, coming up.

[He shifts to let her get her arms around his shoulders, and once she's got a good grip, he releases her to put an arm around her back and under her thighs. And thank god his strength check was good, so he has no trouble scooping his girlfriend into his arms, grinning broadly at her.]

[Jester holds her breath in anticipation as Fjord bends to scoop her up into his arms, worried he might accidentally pull something trying to bear her weight. But those new muscles aren't just for show, apparently, and she lets out a delighted shriek as he hoists her upwards.]

Wow, look at you! [She smacks his shoulder for emphasis, then points toward the bedroom door.] To the backyard!

Nah everyone's gonna be lookin' at you. [How could they not? She was absolutely magnetic and charming after all.

He did however happily follow that direction, glad the door hadn't shut all the way so he could just nudge it open with a foot. Maneuvering through the house with an armful of happy girlfriend took some doing, but he was having fun carrying her, especially with how pleased it seemed to make her in kind.

Only once they got outside did he gently let her down onto her feet, though keeping an arm around her back for the moment so she could find balance.]

[Jester dissolves into delighted giggles, her arms circling snugly around Fjord's neck. As he carries her downstairs, she very helpfully sticks her face in his neck and gives him lots of wet, noisy kisses. Only once she's being set down does she relinquish her hold, and waddle carefully over to the still-dead grass. At least if she falls here, she'll have a softer landing.]

Geez, Fjord, I can't believe how swole you are. Did you and Jim, like, work out together or something?

[Wink wink wink wink wink!]

[Those cute little tickly kisses, and the giggles from Jester both win low, rumbly chuckles from Fjord in turn, quite enjoying how silly and affectionate the tiefling was at the moment. Drifting along after her as she wanders, just so he's near if she needs him.

He knows she's more than capable, but he just... really wants to be close right now.

And Jester should enjoy- there's an immediate whiplash between the half-orc immediately peacocking just a bit at her compliment, and hot on the heels of preening, the flush to his face as he cottons onto that innuendo.]

[Jester's definitely not complaining about Fjord's close proximity, giggling as she skates over the bumpy lawn at his blushing.]

I bet he's a really good workout buddy! [She lets him off the hook, her tail whipping as it works overtime to keep her balanced.] Keep at it, you might be stronger than me someday!

[Fjord grins at that, utterly charmed at the whippy little movements of her tail as she works on her balance. Hanging out close enough that she can grab for him if she needs a hand staying up, but trying not to crowd her at the same time.]

Well, I'd be kinda torn then. Like how strong you are, but bein' the strongest would be kinda fun too.

[Once she's done a few wobbly loops on the grass, Jester begins to make her way over to the sidewalk, grabbing Fjord's elbow for balance and hanging on tight.]

I like it, too. But it's pretty cool you can pick me up now! [She huffs, slowly releasing her grip on his elbow as she collects herself and pushes off from one foot. She's a little wobbly, but she manages to roll smoothly down the sidewalk for a few yards, giggling madly the whole way.]

Ahhh! This is the best!
